Child Rights

  • Produced Draft Child Protection Policy of the Governments of Balochistan and Azad Jamu Kashmir through a consultative process for UNICEF, Pakistan.
  • Produced the Draft Child Protection Policy for the Government of Pakistan through a consultative process for UNICEF, Pakistan.

Scoping, Project & Program Development & Evaluations

  • Country Gender Strategy, “Transformative WASH for Women and Girls” for WaterAid Pakistan.
  • 10-Year Evaluation of Dastak’s Child Rights Unit (CRU) work from 2008 2018. The purpose was to provide  recommendations to the Board and staff of Dastak CRU for changes in decision- making processes and scope of work relating to child protection issues.
  • “Documentation of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) through Local Support Organizations: Study and Strategic Planning” for the Rural Support Program Network, Islamabad. This report formed the basis for OSF-Pakistan’s intervention  for legal empowerment of the poor and the training and deployment of para-legal staff at the community level
  • Lead Researcher, Assessment of HomeNet work with Home-Based Workers in Pakistan, research commissioned by WEIGO.
  • Review and Assessment of the following Unicef commissioned studies: Draft Child Protection Policies for FATA, and Punjab; Pakistan Case Study on Decentralization and Equity for Child Rights in South Asia; Vulnerability Assessment Study, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa; Social Exclusion and Children in Pakistan.

  • January 2023, International Trade Center (ITC), Conceptualized, designed and delivered trainings for senior bureaucrats from Sindh and Balochistan on Gender Mainstreaming focusing on Gender and Trade.
  • Gender and Conflict in Pakistan for Senior Gender Trainers, Mobariza Network, Islamabad
  • Gender Sensitization and Awareness, SDPI staff, Islamabad.
  • Gender sensitization workshop conducted for senior staff of Forest Department, KP, under the auspices of CIDA
  • Gender and Development (GAD) Training; module: “Approaches to women and development” National Center for Rural Development (NCRD), Islamabad

Trainings on Conflict, Peace, Development

  • Training entitled, “Conflict, Peace-Building and the Role of Civil Society; one-day module: “Understanding Conflict: Cross cutting Gender Perspectives” for ActionAid
  • Young Leadership Program ‘Development and Peace;’ a 4 day training for 25 participants from conflict zones in KP (formerly the NWFP) for the BKTEF with a focus on peace building. Training was conceptualized, designed and delivered at the Higher Education Commission, Peshawar.
  • “Peace, Violence and Development.” A 3-week training aimed to strengthen young professionals’ conceptual and analytical abilities in the  research and policy arenas. Course Director, SDPI,
